I suggest a better question -

"when did the 7th and last cycle of Earth and man begin" - That was on May 1, 1956.

There are may versions of the truth plus there are many untruths out there. I would recommend that you look for information here:

Z Monkey, thanks for that reference. I've never heard of that book. You've read it? What else does it say? I don't agree with 8/23/53 being the start of the Age of Aquarius - I think that's 40 years too early and most 'experts' agree with me! :peep:

I would like to point out to those crowing about 2012 and or the Age of Aquarius being off because of inconsistencies between calendars that both the Age of Aquarius and the end of the Mayan Long Count calendar are astronomical alignments and completely independent of the assignment of numbers in terms of years and months and days.
In the case of 2012 it is during the winter solstice when our planet seems to align directly with the "Dark Rift",the center of our Milky Way galaxy.
As for the Age of Aquarius,it is also measured by precession,the wobble the earth makes as it spins upon it's axis.To complete one of these wobbles takes 26,000 years.
It is generally accepted that the Earth entered the Age of Aquarius on 1/23/97,the cusp of transition being the "Harmonic Convergence" in July 1987.
