Maybe i use a summer cottage if something happens some day. It ls an old farmhouse with own watersource, forest all over around and some old fields too. Solar panel. Elevation over 400m above sea level, 500km from the closest coast. Only one road in wich is easily blockable if needed, motorcycle and snowmobile on store, few guns and some ammo, some gasoline, closest house 6km away. Heated with wood. And sauna too! No earthquake danger, no nuclear plants nearby.

If there would be a global catastrophy, then the thing you need to fear is other people. Cannibal groups, robber groups, all kind of mentally unstable people ect. So shoot first ask questions later...

If we all move before the 9th, and nothing happens, will you reimburse all of us for our expenses. You are asking a lot from people with just a little or no proof. I do not have the money nor time to uproot my business and family by then. So my best guess is that on the 10th, I will be underwater and no longer on the web. So I say goodbye now.......

Good point ,so as a pointer if my theory is right about whats happening when.you will get some warning in the form of the three days of darkness,maybee,19/20/21 oct.leaving you three weeks two days to run like a headless chicken.but millions of others will be doing the same then ,so might be a stay put thing by then.
if your near the coast and the first day of darkness comes dont think twice about the price of any plane ticket to high ground still available.

Ok, just so you know, in the area I live there are over 100 million people within 1 hours drive. Half are in front of me to the sea, the other half are behind me. Like all good DTVers, I have planned an escape route that minimizes getting stuck behind 50 million people. It does take quite awhile to plan this type of route but it is done and in the car if needed. All back roads until I can get past the traffic. Hey there is bumper to bumper even on a good day. It would take be the better part of 6 to 8 hours to get to some mountain areas and then travel the high roads from there. Must go faster. Scientist have proven that waves can form up to and well beyond 1,000 feet due to a massive underwater slide. So the threat is always there with or with out stellar intervention. Meaning we don't have to get hit by an asteroid.
Now when you say 3 days of darkness, what does that mean, Dark like a bad storm or dark like night with no storm clouds. If it is dark clouds it will be hard to differentiate a catastrophic event from normal. This area just got hit by a typhoon and it was dark and raining for days. My office suffered wind damage, it blew our signs away. They were attached to the building very well. Many motorbikes were tossed over and trees went down. Lucky no more damage than that. Other areas got hit very bad and deaths happened.

Based on the biblical prediction of three days of darkness i assume that will be the transition of the invisible object across the suns path.the small comet has already passed so we just have to wait and see if we get our three day eclipse and then we will have a good idea of whats what.not checked if there can be another passing between the comet/object later, having been up close to the sun and come back to us.
but of course first day of darkness the world will be in blind panic.
second day we will all be blind drunk ,lol.

Polluted water source (bring bottled water), no forest, just things they call trees and some old hard pan fields of dust and rock. Solar panel, yes just look up for heat ( daytime only ). Elevation over 10m above sea level, 20km from the closest coast. Only 50 roads in which none are blockable, motorcycle and SUV on store, no guns and no ammo, some gasoline, closest house 1 meter away. No Heating. And sauna if you just roll up the windows and sit in the car with a pail of water! That I know of, there is No earthquake danger, no nuclear plants nearby. Oh and you will never be lonely with 100 million neighbors nearby.

I would have to do some math to get a good number but off hand I would think that an object large enough to eclipse the entire planet would have to be fairly large, larger than the earth. Even when the moon has a full eclipse it only blocks out a circular pattern smaller than its size. The suns light has a way of wrapping around an object unlike a flashlight shadow that gets larger the further away. So a small object like the size of our moon even if close to the sun in direct path would do almost nothing. So back to a large object, like the size of 3 or more earths would do the trick. A planet like Jupiter would put us in the dark for sure. But it would also tear us out of orbit if in-between us and the sun. Interested to know what you think this invisible object might be and by the way I think we should move the get drunk up to the first day, we can always panic latter.

We've been trying to sell our house for a couple of years now so we could move to mid Wales, can't sell so we'er stuck in innerCity Birmingham (UK).So I guess we'er fucked whatever happens. I did hear that a large number of retired US military are moving to Austrailia. I do think that disasters can bring people together.I;m growing as much veg as possible and arming myself with the weapons we'er allowed in England.Peace.
