Dan Gilbert: Why are we happy? Why aren't we happy?

Dan Gilbert, author of Stumbling on Happiness, challenges the idea that well be miserable if we dont get what we want. Our "psychological immune system" lets us feel truly happy even when things dont go as planned.

I'll ask another simple question, greed and 'evil'as been very succesful in the past. I would assume that it'sgoing to be as sucessful in the future ,rigth? Why is ,that position of power inadvertly corrupt who ever take them.

How could we change the human way so profoundly with harming it essence.I mean If all today's bad people were jailed and forgot. What would happen to the people their place? Go on a rigthous path or seize all that you can while you're there.

P.S I hope everyday that those how ruined society in the last century or so, be punished as badly as they destroyed, killed, corrupted and changed human way thinking so bad.

Bryan [removed]: We need to talk about an injustice

In an engaging and personal talk -- with cameo appearances from his grandmother and Rosa Parks -- human rights lawyer Bryan [removed] shares some hard truths about America's justice system, starting with a massive imbalance along racial lines: a third of the country's black male population has been incarcerated at some point in their lives. These issues, which are wrapped up in America's unexamined history, are rarely talked about with this level of candor, insight and persuasiveness.

Fresco's idea are wonderful, but i feel like we got a long walk to do if we want those idea to come true.A ressource base economic is the ONLY option to survive any long term engagement here on earth. But there's still the politic problem wich is why we are here.

My best guess would be a decentralization of any authority based power(money making, city law, educationnal and recreational politic...
And a more global ressource bank where we could put food ,wter and medecin in case a catastrophie or epedimic, maybe a counsil on world ressource without givng the power that can change a society to that same counsil. The real problem, as fr as i'm oncerned, is the innability of our gouvernement to regulate bizness and global market .

I would like your tought on that.

We have enough proof that the Bush administration is a bunch of lying evildoers. We don't need to make it up.

And then:

Here's what the conspiracists believe:

9/11 was an inside job.
Members of the Bush Administration ordered it, not Osama bin Laden.
Arab hijackers may not have done the deed.
On top of that, the Twin Towers fell not because of the impact of the airplanes and the ensuing fires but because the Bush Administration got agents to plant explosives at the base of those buildings.
Building 7, another high-rise at the World Trade Center that fell on 9/11, also came down by planted explosives.
The Pentagon was not hit by American Airlines Flight 77 but by a smaller plane or a missile.
And the Pennsylvania plane did not crash as a result of the revolt by the passengers but was brought down by the military.

I'm amazed at how many people give credence to these theories.

noentry and Alternet are possibly a match made in heaven!

You maybe right but only a fool believes they know what the truth is.
And when it comes to main stream media they talk as much shit as the alternative.
JFK was killed by a lone gun men dont you know :?:

I think you have some good ideas.
The only time our governments can regulate global business across every corner of the world is when people gain confidence in a democratic NWO. But as power is so highly concentrated, people fear a globalized structure of governance. (Elitist NWO)
