Why do UFO's have their lights on?

I was just watching a few UFO videos on DTV and was wondering why the UFO's would feel the need to have their lights on at night.

If they really want to travel among us unnoticed and assuming they have radar at least as advanced as ours so they could easily avoid other aircraft, wouldn't it make sense to turn off the lights?

Even if they need to see what is going on inside the cockpit, couldn't they black out the windows so they wouldn't be visible from the outside. That way they could travel around above us all night long and no one would be the wiser.

Is it their energy source that is glowing or did they just wax the ship or ???

Explanations please!

Hi ... maybe them with lights want to be seen ... there are other fast ones you cant see with eyes, even cloaked stationary UFOs over cities everyday nobody see them ... its The Invasion.. :alien:

I think sometimes they want to be seen. I think they are slowly ...little by little putting themselves into the human conscousness.

maybe those are'nt lights as we know, might be a power source, if the question is are they ours, its also possible if the world have been destroy before and some have left and just come by to buy cheep electronic parts from china. ^^

Those are ID lights for planes, choppers and orbiting satellites, not UFOs, by sheer definition if nothing else.
