"I wanted to believe the Darwinian idea. I chose to believe it not because I think that there was enormous evidence for it, nor because I believed it had the full authority to give interpretation to my origins. I chose to believe it because it delivered me from trying to find meaning and freed me to my own erotic passions."

If you think you're the body you will worship the material.
If you think you are the mind you will worship sense objects.
If you think you're the intelligence you will worship opinion and debate.
If you know you are none of these but a spirit soul then you will worship God.

bro,its getting boring,we all know your religious beliefs.
No offense brother, but your self-expressed Islamic beliefs connect you to such deep thinking as those found in these vids--even though your comments on DTV refute such observation. Are you a Muslim?--Or are you a citizen of this world? They are not the same. If you are truly aware of what is going on, and have a loyalty to the God you profess, you may eventually realize that the Christians are your only true ally against this secular, philosophical destruction of God.

Well I seem to be doing ok so far...You could consider god as being the spiritual internet if you ask me.

We keep so much from our friends and family. Why can't we all just say
how we feel and not get mad at each other?

Seeing how it's rising up faster than Christianity right now, yes.

"There he goes. One of God's own prototypes. A high-powered mutant of some kind never even considered for mass production. Too weird to live, and too rare to die. "

IMO
Certainly at this point, it could be labeled as such, the evolution of how it got to be that way, I think, is interesting.
Being that Semitic based religions ( Catholicism, Christianity, Islam, and Hebrew/Judaic ) demand a belief in their system, and have made labels for those who are not of their ilk.
Atheism is, because they demand a label for the position of non belief, or just no belief.
Which overtime has been embraced by those who are Antagonist to those religious mind sets, adopting the label, and in effect creating another offshoot of "Faith" based system.
Which becomes a talking point in theological debates. In essence bringing a Disbelief into the faith based realm. Giving support back to the Faith based belief system. All circular arguments with no end in sight.
Different culture approach things differently, as much of what is taught is just philosophical concepts of morality in social based groups. Buddhism, as much as was ment to be a philosophical standard, has become no different that westernized beliefs, with their own heaven, hell, demons, what have you. Dao/Taoism which is a philosophical view, is practiced with Buddhism, or Shintoism as a complementary additive. Tho some have taken it to the "religious" level, almost making it into its own Religion.
Which also Dao/Taoism, is not atheist in nature, it does recognize a larger force at work, but does not attempt to label it.
So Much like satanism, Atheism is a Byproduct of the Judaic/Christian Belief structure, much as Mormonism, Lutherans, Evangelicals, Pentecostal, or non denominational are.
So in short D,
Yes it is.
