For the benefit of Zaff who seems to be confused over my statements. I will re-post my statement with a descriptive tag:

<SARCASM>Yes, we must take politicians at face value and believe what they say. They would never say "No we are not going to get involved" and then wait strategically for others before they commit themselves. Politicians in the US and other world democracies are honest and upstanding. They do not care about money, power or oil, only the integrity of the democratic system and the people that they protect.

The USA has never educated, funded and guided opposition groups in other countries because they understand that people themselves must stand on their own two feet. They also understand that the interests of their own people come first. They would never meddle in the politics of other sovereign states. They could not possibly think of manipulating politics in another country so that it appeared as though there was a genuine popular uprising. They have way to much integrity for that.

These are the reasons we trust our politicians to do the right thing by not only us but people the world over.</SARCASM>

The Arab League gave it's agreement and encouragement.
