Just a thought but i had a similar thing, and i traced it back to my vpn, if you start running vpn after logging on it plays havoc, as when you go to the forum its says you must log in, what i did was log out whilst vpn running then log back in so it correlates hope this helped...

Thanks for the concern, man. Glad to see your good name has been cleared, too. :alien51:

At the moment, I'm in Romania and having a great summer on the beach. Just attended the Freedom Jazz Festival and got to see some friends, made new ones, met and saw some of my old and new musical heroes.

Having a fucking blast (no pun intended), to tell you the truth.

I'm in a little town called Vama Veche, where Romanian scooter trash, punks, hipsters and rockers all hang out in relative harmony for the summer. When you walk down the main street you hear every kind of music blasting out of bars and restaurants, but mostly rock and roll.

I never thought I'd end up in Romania listening to obscure Black Sabbath tunes while eating shoarma (gyros to you yanks back home), or playing guitar drunk at 5am on the street with gypsies from Transylvania and hippies from Bucharest, or playing onstage with some of the best musicians in the country.

I lead a charmed life, at times... :alien51:

Yeah, man. I'm getting exposed to some heavy stuff here, musically speaking.

I saw this guy last night perform with a great band:

I've been hearing some other interesting projects that fuse the traditional instruments and melodies with new influences, like these guys:

Sadly, one of this collective's singers passed away a few days ago, from what I hear.

I want to dig deeper... amazing musical tradition here. Planning to go to the mountains and Transylvania, then Bucharest when the weather cools down a little.

The more I hang out in the Balkans, the more I learn and the more interesting my 9 year journey abroad gets.

Honestly, I haven't had the money or time to travel the way I'd really like to, which, ironically, is ultimately the cheapest way to live, anyway, if you do it right.

I really do want to venture more off the beaten path, but it took me a few years of figuring out how to survive in Europe after landing before I had the real freedom (and balls) to really travel (keep that in mind, Nem...). Actually, the cojones are more important than the money, but as I get older I want some basic comforts whenever possible and a bit of money in the bank. :alien51:

In some ways, I feel like my journey is just beginning...

Now I'm dreaming about buying a camper (you can find good cheap ones in Holland), and just parking it in different places around Eastern Europe once I get my long-term Bulgarian residency.

Hung with the local chapter of the red and white for a time back in the 90ies there. Great bands at the club house...a distinct lack of teeth and piglets though..
