Wait till you see this nut in Romania the human smoking wheel the guy smokes 800 cigarettes at once.
January 19, 2011 | Will cigarettes be illegal in the future? The battle over cigarettes is heating up - and recent news shows that momentum to criminalize tobacco smoking continues to build in the United States and around the world.
Last week the New York Times reported on the Himalayan Kingdom of Bhutan's war on cigarette smokers. Back in 2005 Bhutan banned the sale of tobacco but made little headway as smugglers brought in cigarettes from India. Now the country is enforcing the ban by allowing authorities to break down doors looking for illegal cigarettes. People who sell illegal cigarettes are now facing five year sentences. Breaking down doors and long sentences over the tobacco plant! Sounds familiar? If it does, it's because that's how the U.S. deals with the marijuana and coca plants. Better lite up while you can.

Should they be banned? Yes

Will they be banned? No... the cigarette company is huge, and its killing/making people sick, people are literally paying to kill themselves! ITS MADNESS!....Its part of the system.

Solution? Only buy cigarettes from Aboriginal reserves... its time to give back what you stole wormy worm.

funny how many vehement anti smoking campaigners would have to have their cars pried from their cold dead hands. single biggest cause of pollution and respiratory ailments IN THE WORLD is the automobile. i don't drive but i smoke. load of phooey!
again i say to smoking nazis, take my test and find out what the real problem is.
i'll sit in a room with all the windows closed and smoke non-stop. the other contestant sits in a car in a garage with doors and windows shut, and starts the engine. whoever dies first loses.

:alien:
to insanity - and beyond!

To answer the question, imo NO, not ever !
The tobacco companies are in bed with government, have no illusions.
It's about wealth folks not health.
We do not inhabit an insane world, always remember that.
Ideally we would have a government/s that would have our genuine best interest at heart, things like smoking cigarettes would be illegal but that's not even worth discussing cos i can't ever see that happening, not in my lifetime anyway. We should be addressing WHY people smoke toxic cigarettes, that despite the overwhelming irrefutable evidence that these things are ridiculously bad for you, they still choose to do so, the WHY is more important, same goes for excessive alcohol consumption and the use of 'hard' drugs, what is making people do this, why ? It's clear to me, it's society, like i say it's insane and these people know it and this is how they escape albeit temporarilly. But it's not the solution to do so.

True, they do tend to be "lighter" which makes people smoke more....
But if your only going to have a couple per day like you should with anything (moderation plz)
Then it is Indeed healthier.

Here is question for ya... can our lungs become "resistant" to the chemicals found in cigarettes if we keep smoking them? Yes I am no biologist.

In the states, the taxes pay for many health related programs, so in taxing them to much, or banning out right will cause a lot of these programs to be underfunded and thus more taxation to recoup the loss.

it is not surprising things are moving in this direction. The nazis' banned smoking also, which this is just a continuation of their political philosophic belief at work. If people believe the nazis and their ideals died in ww2 they are sadly mistaken.
The actions against the jews had nothing to do with the national socialist parties agenda, it was something that happened later in the evolution of keeping power.
An America is full of nazis', one only has to research Nasa, and the number of nazis who were shipped outta Germany to America. These were not poor immigrants, these were big to do socialites who over the years have shaped policy and politics in the USA.

I can only assume, due to the Catholic Church involvement in relocation projects dealing with nazis that some ended up in other countries and have over the course of 50+ years influenced generations to follow, and in so, bringing about a furtherance of the nazi ideals.
