We got rid of our TV last year and didn't bother replacing it. Naturally I thought I could stop paying the licence. But no. If you have the technology available to receive a signal - be it via computer, phone or whatever - then you still have to pay. The buggers.

I did just that for 9 years, only recently my Mrs' forced me to buy one :yell:

I did literally tell them to F**k off, yes Oto even a phone :nope:

Why do they even call it a tv licence? Its retarded.

No one blow up the bbc ya here, just don't do it. :scary:

The problem is that all new phones, TVs, computers, etc, are generally registered so they know who has a licence and who doesn't. Also, you're not paying for television itself - you're paying for the BBC (not ITV who gets its money from advertising).
