if you really think there will ever be a non-NASA related space program.....in my opinion that will never happen. For one the cost alone to operate a space program would be too much for anyone but a government of a country and a rich one at that to sustain. Then you have a good chance of said government shutting your space program down to "safety issues" and the likes. And any agency/company rich enough to even start such a program is probably already in on it with NASA in the first place. Best we can get i think are if there is better technology for ever clearer telescopes :look:
