You Are A Priest.

Being a creation of the creator, you have the gifts that have been given to you. As a material projection of the divine, your person-hood, you body, is representative of divine intent. You know instinctively what is right and wrong. Your household is a temple as is you body.

You are the spiritual leader of yourself, the priest of you household. Have respect for what you have and have been given and care for it as if it was your OWN LIFE. Which it is.

Prayer of Jabez: What is it?
The Prayer of Jabez comes from the Bible. In 1 Chronicles 4:10, we read: "And Jabez called on the God of Israel, saying, Oh that Thou wouldest bless me indeed, and enlarge my coast, and that Thine hand might be with me, and that Thou wouldest keep me from evil, that it may not grieve me! And God granted him that which he requested." The prayer is composed of four parts. First, Jabez asks God to bless him. Second, he asks God to enlarge his territory or increase his responsibility. Third, he prays that God will be with him and stay close. Lastly, Jabez asks that God keep him from harm so that he will be free from pain.

Do not fear thinking outside the box, nor feel ashamed about being greedy. Start to think of you activities in a generative way. Think of yourself as giving value to others in your exchanges. Think of yourself as an employer, instead of being employed. See the yet unaware divine in others you meet and see the new respect you have for them. Others will feel this and reflect respect back to you.

You are a creator. So create. Even us old guys can do it !

I refuse to be associated with priests. Sure, we are all our own temple, but a priest has no place in mine

I would call myself my given name and go from there

Heh,

but i do understand dlslith's point.

If there's no temple, there's no priest.

We all have the inner temple(s), and i guess we all strive to be the high priests of these temple(s).

That is just(?) the question of semantics.
