yes thats right the ancients spoke of the aether,especially in alchemical knowledge and concepts,
its the fifth element isnt it,but its not exactly air,i kinda see it like "prana"ki,or chi.even nothing is something.thank you too.i find the hermetic philosophy some of which i have studied to be very much the progenitor of quantum physics,except it predates it by about 4300 years,and i wouldnt be surprised if a good portion of the last several hundred years of breakthroughts in physics,chemistry,and mathematics,were due to the leaders in there field having access to hermetic philosophy,im pretty sure of it really.will check link in moment,ta
