I think most of us are past the point of requiring proof.

The amount of earthquakes recently speaks for itself. I'm sure there are more on the way.
I would like to understand the mechanism that is responsible for the increase of activity.

Last night they cut off all the protesting that was going on in America,and cut to Larry King on CNN.Fox never even showed it,and MSNBC just flashed it a few times.

According to your graph there definately seems to be a 50 year cycle of activity. And it looks like it was worse at the beginning of the last century...
