On the street with Manchester's masked youths

October 5, 2011 - Police have been battling crowds of youths on the streets of Manchester, immediately after outlets have been looted and structures set on fire.

Increased Manchester Police has stopped all trams and buses from running in the city and stated hundreds of riot police had attempted to move crowds on.

The BBC's Chris Buckler joined officers in Manchester city centre as they tried to manage the masked youths.
