Silicon Valley man finds tracking device on his car, makes inquiries and gets visit from the FBI

July 13, 2014 - Silicon Valley resident Yasir Afifi recently discovered an FBI tracking device on his car when he took it for an oil change.

Alarmed and curious about what it might be, Yasir posted photos of the device online, asking members of reddit whether it was a bomb, or possibly an FBI tracking device.

In a short amount of time Yasir learned that it was in fact a GPS tracking device, and it was made by a company that only sells to government agencies.

Days later he was able to learn the direct source of the tracking device, when he was visited by a large group of FBI agents who had seen his posts online, and wanted their device back.

When he was visited by the agents, Yasir had obvious questions about the situation. Who had planted the device on his car, and why? Was he suspected in some sort of investigation?

The agents refused to answer any of his questions and told him that if he refused to cooperate with them that they were going to make this situation as difficult as possible for him.

“It seems very frightening that the FBI have placed a surveillance-tracking device on the car of a 20-year-old American citizen who has done nothing more than being half-Egyptian,” Alseth told Wired.com.

Afifi had never given any signs that he was going to be uncooperative, but he just had a lot of questions about what was going on. He did end up handing over the device willingly and said that he has no involvement in anything dangerous or illegal and that there is no reason for him to be under investigation.

Based on discussions that were had when the agents were at his house, Afifi got the impression that he had been under FBI surveillance for three to six months.

The FBI has released very few details to the media, or to Afifi himself about the nature of their investigation. When asked by reporters an FBI representative said “I can’t really tell you much about it, because it’s still an ongoing investigation,”

I could take the stance that in a time of war(s), our government may need to watch certain people...certain races in America. However, they are don f this to their own red blooded Americans not to mention powerful nations and our allies. America is the jilted lover. We know how crazy she is and want nothing to do with her and she will not let us be free. Dangerous and we can go to no one for protection from her. Where will this leave us citizens? Nowhere good. Move on America,we no longer see in you what we did a long time ago.

That’s why when there is a situation regarding shooting, “A Snowden revelation of betrayal”. Or whenever there is a school, movie theater shooting by some Manchurian candidate, they want us to say; “Take away our gun laws, they’re killing our children!” We should not give up any constitutional rights. They are doing this, with our rights of privacy and freedom of press, and speech. Imagine what they would do if we gave up any of are constitutional rights. You don’t get with their program, and you will be hunted down and killed like a dog. The Government just wants two social levels. The very rich and the very poor. What we use to call, slaves. That's about the scale of the oppression emanating from that area of the world at the moment.
Personal space and privacy is prohibited and violation of it is routine.
Laws no longer serve the people but the corporations instead, so of course a police state is what you will get, and no amount of voting will change that now the reigns are in the hands of corporations
