The Sun: Coat of arms crops up in field

AN intricate crop circle resembling an historical coat of arms has appeared in a field in a single day.

The impressive formation was snapped at West Woods, near Marlborough, Wilts, by crop circle expert Lucy Pringle.

Mrs Pringle, of Petersfield, Hants, stated: "The location is flown over regularly and this creation was certainly not there the day just before I photographed it.

"This exciting design and style measures approximately 90 toes in diameter. "It has a resemblance to a Cross Clechee with arms spreading out steadily from the centre. This cross denotes information, guardianship, and dominion.

"Equivalent to the Cross Toulouse, it is assumed that the bearer of this cross was a crusader from the area of Toulouse."

Mrs Pringle explained the new development is the most recent in a prolonged line of unusual designs to crop up in the United kingdom over the years.

Earlier patterns have integrated stars, triangles, birds, challenging three dimensional designs and even styles with hidden mathematical codes. ( via thesun.co.uk )
