Above the generations, the world’s biggest maker of swords and knives identified it needed to increase operations to other countries to far better serve its buyers. In 1964, the company formed IMACASA with a new plant in Santa Ana, El Salvador and stuffed it with state of the art German equipment. Some of the unique local staff who had been sent to Solingen for substantial education forty years ago are even now functioning in the factory nowadays, turning out the very best high quality machetes, shovels and other hand instruments.
