    Speculation: their are more than 58, about what you currently precieve, perhaps some or stacked behind one another..and possibly the distances are also not what we precieve the distances to be...

    The image date on your zoom-in may indeed say 2008, but the whole "sky" image is a collection of various snapshots over a wide period of time, all woven together. I went to your coordinates on 12/17/11 and the "ships" are not there. Have they been removed by Google or just a newer image posted whereby the "ships" have since moved on? You may also consider a single object moving across a trajectory and the telescope was snapping pictures of that region in intervals.
