A color video camera designed to send live coverage back to earth was mounted on the Apollo 12 Mission LM. Unfortunately that camera caught the full glare of the Sun reflecting off the shiny surface of ontrepid (Lunar Module) and it's sensitive tubes imaging blew. The television networks cancelled their coverage and millions of viweres on earth went about their day. What was originally broadcast 'live' was less than 30 seconds.
