This is an interior space background radiation measurement from inside our room -- (north side facing) -- This represents the average amount of free floating detectable radioactive particles present in the room. The amounts of radiation inside are about HALF of the amount outside. Returning levels of approximately 27.6CPM as the highest reading. Alert level is 100CPM --- therefore this interior space (representative of most of the high rise buildings in Chicago) -- is returning levels @ 1/4 the alert level. Compared to outside -- compared to Fukushima levels -- this is good news. However, this is the baseline being set -- so we shall have to see what future readings return. IF levels go down -- that is to say for instance, if the same measurements were to be taken in a year from now -- levels could be much lower, or higher, depending on the long term spread of radiation.
