Bulgarian Researcher Claims Nazi’s Built a Secret Base on The Dark Side of The Moon
As the 50th anniversary of the incredible moon landing that took place in July 1969 comes around, many have sparked conversation about what mysteries still remain about the planet. On July 16th 1969, Apollo 11 took off the Kennedy Space Centre, Florida. The crew, which was comprised of a number of now-famous faces included Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin - the first men to ever walk on the moon, or so everyone thought.
The immortal words that Armstrong spoke as he became the first man to step foot on the moon have been seared into everyone's brain since the memorable occasion. ‘That's one small step for man, one giant leap for mankind’. What if he wasn't the first man to walk on the moon though? What if everything has been a lie?
The Dark Side
While it may remind some of a popular sci-fi film series, the dark side, in this case, is actually referring to the dark side of the moon - the half of the moon that cannot be seen from Earth due to the angle and tilt of both planets throughout their orbits. The dark side of the moon can never be viewed from an Earth-bound telescope and hasn't been seen by very many people at all. The few that have seen it though, are the 12 that have walked on the moon. They, however, have not had much to say about it.
As with any mystery, there have of course been a huge number of conspiracy theories and ideas about what really hides in the shadows on the dark side of the moon. These theories range from alien civilizations building a home hidden from the prying eyes of humans, all the way to one of Earth’s super-powers building a base on the planet. There are also a number of more peculiar theories that have been suggested. One such theory is that the Nazi’s are the ones who built a base on the moon, could this be true?
There are quite a significant number of people who believe that Nazi’s have managed to build a base on the dark side of the moon. Amidst claims that the US is the one who has built a huge complex on the far side, there are also theories that Adolf Hitler himself had put men on the moon as far back as 1942. To make things even more confusing, Bulgarian researcher Dr Vladimir Terziski, has claimed that he has evidence to prove this strange theory.
Terziski states that as soon as the Nazi rockets or spaceships landed on the moon, the German’s began boring and tunneling under the surface. By the end of the Second World War, they had built an entire Nazi research base on the far side of Earth’s closest neighbor. Some conspiracy theorists even claim to have found this complex buried beneath the ice. To some, this may sound a bit far fetched, but the truth might be closer than many think.
A lunar base is not that far off unless it's already been done, that is. Just last year, China landed a rover on the far side of the moon and are planning another four missions to the moon in the hopes of eventually building a research base. Wu Yanha, deputy chief commander of China's Lunar Exploration Programme has reportedly said that China, the United States, Russia and Europe are all currently discussing plans to build a research base or station on the moon. Look how far everyone has come in just 50 short years. While five decades may seem like a long time, it's just a drop in the water in the grand scheme of things.
Not only have a number of men and women walked on the moon since 1969, but man-made objects, machines, and so much more have also been to the planet. Not only that, but a huge international space station has been built, satellites now orbit so many different planets and have photographed almost all known planets in the solar system. Technology has come so far and there are talks of visiting other planets, commercial visits to the moon, the possibilities are endless.
So have the Nazi’s built a secret research base on the dark side of the moon? While no one can say for sure either way, it is definitely a possibility. Many scientists will deny all claims that anyone went to the moon before 1969, but there's also a huge number of people that will back up those claims.
Given all the amazing things that have been achieved over the last fifty years, and before that, is having a base built on the moon such a wild idea? I don't think so. There is every chance that Nazi’s did go to the moon before 1969 and there's also the very real possibility that they left their mark there.
