An unknown attacker hacked Twitch and exposed a lot of internal data. For the first time, we can now see how much Twitch is transferring to its top streamers.
Twitch is “a disgusting, poisonous cesspool,” says the hacker who posted a 125-gigabyte torrent link on the 4chan forum. The source code of the Twitch platform and other apps and services from the streaming portal environment were also leaked.

What arouses the most public interest, however, is not the source code or the commit history. It is the information on the payouts to the streamers on the platform. Here is the top list:

Criticalrole and xQcOW rank at the two places, and raked in $9.5 and $8.4 million dollars.
Twitch confirmed the breach and said it was “working with urgency” to understand the extent of it. The company said it would “update the community as soon as additional information is available,” in a statement posted on Twitter.
