France delivers 39 armored vehicles to Lebanese army

France has delivered 39 armored personnel carriers to the Lebanese Armed Forces, reaffirming its commitment to support Lebanon.

The vehicles, known as VABs, enhance troop mobility and are armored to protect against small-arms fire.

French Deputy Defense Minister Alice Rufo emphasized the need for "guarantee Lebanon’s territorial integrity, the protection of civilians" during a ceremony in Beirut.

The situation escalated after Hezbollah's cross-border attack on March 2, which prompted Israeli airstrikes and ground actions in Lebanon.

The broader conflict includes retaliation from Iran, resulting in significant casualties.
