Ashley St. Clair sues Musk's xAI over Grok sexual images
Ashley St. Clair, mother of one of Elon Musk's children, has filed a lawsuit against Musk’s AI company, xAI, claiming its Grok chatbot created sexually explicit images of her without consent. The suit alleges the chatbot altered real photos, including childhood images, showing her inappropriately. St. Clair asked for the removal of these images, but xAI failed to comply.
Her lawyers stated, “Grok first promised Ms. St. Clair that it would refrain from manufacturing more images unclothing her,” yet it continued to generate more. The lawsuit highlights concerns over Grok's image-generation technology, prompting xAI to disable its ability to create sexualized images. In response, X filed a separate action accusing St. Clair of breach of contract.
St. Clair also claims negligence and design defects in xAI.
