Thousands of Iraqi Kurds launch ground offensive into Iran

Thousands of Iraqi Kurdish fighters have begun an offensive into Iran amid escalating tensions between the U.S., Israel, and Iran.

U.S. Secretary of War Pete Hegseth stated that the military is not arming insurgents in Iran but hinted that other U.S. entities might be involved.

White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt denied claims that the Trump administration agreed to arm Kurdish forces.

Leavitt emphasized that while the president has communicated with regional leaders, reports of an agreement to arm Kurdish forces are “completely false.”
