Education groups urge action against 'Japanese first' rhetoric in schools

Education support groups in Japan are calling for action against the "Japanese First" rhetoric, which they warn could foster discrimination against children of foreign descent in schools. This call follows the rise of the right-wing Sanseito party, which has gained youth support.

Metanoia, a nonprofit, provided guidelines to protect foreign children from bullying. They advised teachers and parents to address insensitive comments and support affected children.
