Iran nuclear talks canceled on Friday

Nuclear talks between the U.S. and Iran scheduled for Friday were canceled after the U.S. rejected Iranian request to discuss nuclear issues only. U.S. officials stated, "We told them it is this or nothing, and they said, 'Ok, then nothing,'"

White House envoy Steve Whitkoff and Jared Kushner will visit Qatar to discuss the situation before returning to Miami. They remain open to meeting with Iran if it returns to the original format.

Secretary of State Marco Rubio emphasized the U.S. is ready to negotiate but must address broader issues, including Iran's missile programs. An Iranian official stated the talks would focus solely on the nuclear program.
