Boeing-made satellite explodes in space

A Boeing-made satellite, Intelsat 33e, exploded recently while providing communications across Europe, Asia, and Africa.

The U.S. Space Force is tracking debris from the explosion, which Intelsat referred to as "an anomaly." Following the event, some customers lost power and communication services. The Space Force noted "no immediate threats" from the debris, but Russia's space agency reported over 80 fragments.
