Trump to name Mark Zuckerberg, Larry Ellison and Jensen Huang to tech panel

President Trump is forming a technology council to shape AI policy, including prominent figures like Meta's Mark Zuckerberg, Oracle's Larry Ellison, and Nvidia's Jensen Huang. Named the President’s Council of Advisors on Science and Technology (PCAST), it will be co-chaired by David Sacks and Michael Kratsios. The initial roster will include 13 industry members, with a potential total of 24. Zuckerberg expressed enthusiasm, stating, “The United States has the opportunity to lead the world in AI.”

Trump aims to promote a regulatory environment for AI and cryptocurrencies. This council follows a pattern set by previous presidents who have sought expert advice on scientific developments. Notably, the participation of major corporate leaders marks a significant change from Trump’s first term.
