EU allocates €100 billion for Ukraine in new budget

The European Union has proposed a budget for 2028-2034 that includes a €100 billion allocation for Ukraine. President Ursula von der Leyen announced this commitment during a press conference, emphasizing the EU's steadfast support amid ongoing challenges.

“This is a long-term commitment to Ukraine’s recovery and reconstruction,” budget chief Piotr Serafin said, adding the money would be “outside the ceiling” of the budget.
