3 men arrested on suspicion of manslaughter in connection with apartment fire

SUMMARY

Three men have been arrested in connection with a deadly apartment fire in Hong Kong's Tai Po district. The fire, which broke out on November 26, claimed at least 36 lives and left over 200 people missing. It started on bamboo scaffolding amid ongoing maintenance work at the Wang Fuk Court complex.

City leader John Lee reported that 29 individuals were hospitalized, with seven in critical condition, as efforts continued to control the flames. The cause of the fire is still unknown.

Witnesses reported that some residents were unaware of the fire due to closed windows during maintenance. One resident expressed devastation over the "loss of property and loss of life."
