UK Foreign office has been hacked

The UK Foreign Office confirmed a cyber breach that first came to light in October. Trade minister Sir Chris Bryant stated that while hackers accessed sensitive data, the government is "fairly confident" no individual data was compromised.

Reports suggest the hackers may be linked to a Chinese group known as Storm 1949, which allegedly stole thousands of documents. Bryant noted, "There certainly has been a hack at the FCDO," but details remain unclear as investigations continue. He emphasized the government's swift action to close the security gap, dismissing some reports as speculation.
