Nick Reiner case

Nick Reiner's lawyer removes himself from murder case

SUMMARY

Nick Reiner's lawyer, Alan Jackson, has withdrawn from representing him in a murder case involving the deaths of his parents, Hollywood director Rob Reiner and Michele Singer Reiner. Jackson believes Nick is innocent but cited "circumstances beyond [his] control" for leaving.

Nick, 32, did not enter a plea at a recent court hearing, where he appeared before Los Angeles Superior Court. The Reiners were found dead on December 14 with stab wounds.

Nick will now be defended by public defender Kimberly Greene, as the next hearing is scheduled for February 23. Prosecutor Nathan Hochman is confident in securing a conviction against Nick for the alleged murder.
