Al Gore's satellite and AI system is now tracking sources of soot pollution

Al Gore's initiative is employing satellite technology and AI to monitor soot pollution in communities. The nonprofit coalition, Climate TRACE, will track pollution for 2,500 global cities using 300 satellites and 30,000 ground sensors.

This data can help identify pollution sources. Gore highlighted the significant health risks associated with particle pollution. Major cities like Karachi, Guangzhou, and New York are noted for high soot exposure. Gore stated, "It’s difficult... for people to really see precisely where this conventional air pollution is coming from."
