OpenAI unveils platform to help companies deploy 'AI coworkers'

OpenAI is launching Frontier, a platform to help companies deploy AI agents more easily. This initiative aims to simplify the implementation of “AI coworkers” and enhance adoption among corporate clients. Key AI firms, including OpenAI and Anthropic, are focusing on AI agents that perform tasks independently, raising concerns among investors about impacts on legacy software.

Fidji Simo, OpenAI's CEO of applications, stated, “We’ve taken what we’ve learned from working directly with hundreds of large enterprises...and we’ve made that whole process a lot easier.”

The platform will allow integration with rivals' AI software, making it a potential one-stop-shop for businesses. Companies like Intuit, State Farm, and Thermo Fisher are already using Frontier.
