UN releases sustainable goals 2030 progress report

SUMMARY

The United Nations released the "2025 Sustainable Development Goals Report." It highlights that despite benefits in healthcare, education, energy, and digital connectivity since the UN 2030 Agenda, progress is insufficient. Only 35% of sustainable development indicators are on track, while nearly half are slow, and 18% are regressing.

UN Secretary-General Guterres stated the world faces a "development emergency." However, he believes the goals remain achievable if all parties act urgently and decisively.
