Amazon plans to test humanoid robots for deliveries

SUMMARY

Amazon is developing software for humanoid robots that may replace delivery workers, according to a report by The Information. The company is completing a "humanoid park" at its San Francisco office to test these robots.

Rather than creating all hardware in-house, Amazon plans to use components from other companies for initial tests. The firm is also developing AI software that will operate these robots.

In the near future, the robots may ride in Amazon's more than 20,000 electric Rivian vans and deliver packages.
