Walz issues warning order to Minnesota National Guard after fatal ICE shooting

SUMMARY

Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz has issued a warning order to prepare the National Guard after an ICE officer fatally shot a woman in Minneapolis.

At a press conference, Walz stated, “Donald Trump and his administration may not care much about Minnesota — that’s been pretty evident — but we love this state.”

He emphasized that the National Guard, consisting of 13,000 soldiers and airmen, is ready to respond to support state agencies. An investigation into the shooting is underway, with the State Bureau of Criminal Apprehension involved.

Walz activated the State Emergency Operation Center and criticized the federal government, saying, “To Donald Trump... you’ve done enough.”

He urged Americans nationwide to unite against the administration's immigration policies.
