Iran says it will target US tech companies in Middle East

SUMMARY

Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps has publicly declared it will launch attacks on major U.S. technology companies across the Middle East.

The IRGC named 18 companies it accuses of participating in planning and tracking targets for U.S. strikes against Iran.

The list includes Apple, Microsoft, Google, Meta, Nvidia, Oracle, Tesla, HP, Intel and IBM. The only non-American entity listed is the United Arab Emirates’ AI company G42.

In its official statement released through Sepah News, the IRGC ordered all employees of these firms to evacuate their workplaces immediately.

It specified that targeting operations would commence Wednesday at 8 p.m. local time.

This threat represents a major escalation of the conflict into the commercial technology sector.

Iran has already demonstrated willingness to strike American tech infrastructure. In early March, Iranian drones successfully hit and damaged several Amazon data centers located in the UAE and Bahrain.

The IRGC claims these corporations are actively supporting American military operations during the war.

The announcement places some of the world’s largest and most valuable companies directly in the line of fire at a time when the Middle East has become a central hub for significant AI investment and data center expansion.

U.S. tech firms maintain large regional operations, research centers and data facilities throughout the Gulf states.

The IRGC warning forces immediate security and operational decisions for these companies and their employees in the region.
