Naveed Akram charged with 15 counts of murder over Bondi shooting

Naveed Akram has been charged with 59 offences, including 15 counts of murder and one count of committing a terrorist act, following a mass shooting at Bondi Beach in Sydney. The attack killed 15 people, including two rabbis and a 10-year-old girl, during a Hanukkah celebration.

Akram's father, Sajid, was killed during an exchange with police. Seventeen others remain hospitalized, some in critical condition. The incident has been labeled a terrorist attack, reportedly motivated by Islamic State ideology. Funerals for victims are ongoing, with community leaders expressing deep sorrow and calling for stronger actions against antisemitism.
