US strikes 4 more alleged drug boats in the Pacific, killing 14 and leaving 1 survivor

SUMMARY

The U.S. military struck four vessels in the eastern Pacific, killing 14 alleged narcotics traffickers and leaving one survivor, according to Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth. These strikes bring the total casualties in President Trump's campaign against traffickers to over 50.

Hegseth said the vessels were targeted based on intelligence about their drug trafficking activities. He emphasized that these "narco-terrorists have killed more Americans than Al-Qaeda."

President Trump plans to provide Congress with details about the strikes but will not seek a war declaration. He mentioned possible land strikes in Venezuela next.

Sen. Rand Paul criticized the strikes as "extrajudicial killings," stating Congress has not received information about the operations.
