DOJ sues Harvard for withholding records on race in admissions

The Justice Department has sued Harvard University for allegedly not providing documents related to investigations into racial discrimination in admissions.

Filed in federal court in Massachusetts, the lawsuit claims Harvard has delayed compliance for 10 months.

The government stated, “Harvard has thwarted the Department’s efforts to investigate potential discrimination.”

They seek a court ruling declaring Harvard in violation of the law and ordering compliance.

Harvard has not yet commented on the lawsuit.
