Amnesty calls for blocking German-owned ship carrying arms components bound for Israel

Amnesty International has urged governments to stop the German owned, Portuguese-flagged ship Holger G from docking at their ports. The ship is reportedly carrying 440 tons of military components, including parts for mortar bombs and projectiles, destined for Israeli defense companies. Amnesty warns this cargo could contribute to "genocide and other serious crimes" in Gaza.

Amnesty's senior director stated, “The hundreds of tonnes of deadly cargo on board the Holger G must not reach Israel.” The organization calls for a comprehensive arms embargo on Israel, emphasizing the need for accountability among nations facilitating arms transfers.
