Two people dead and nine wounded in mass shooting at Brown University

A mass shooting occurred at Brown University in Providence, Rhode Island, leaving two dead and nine injured. The suspect, described as "a male dressed in black," remains at large, prompting a widespread manhunt. Police searched the campus and surrounding areas for hours after the attack, which took place near the Barus and Holley building.

University officials confirmed that all victims were students. Providence's mayor urged the community to pray for the victims' families as the investigation continues. Brown University's president stated, "We know our community wants answers."

Providence police have advised the University that the shelter in place order has ended for the entire Brown campus and that a person of interest in custody.
