Clintons held in contempt after skipping Jeffrey Epstein depositions

The House Oversight Committee voted to hold Bill and Hillary Clinton in contempt of Congress for defying subpoenas related to Jeffrey Epstein.

The votes were 34-8 for Bill and 28-15-1 for Hillary. The resolution must be approved by the full House before it can be sent to the Justice Department for potential prosecution.

Chair James Comer criticized the Clintons for their demands for special treatment regarding depositions. Bill Clinton's deputy denied any refusal regarding transcript issues.

Democrats argued the votes were partisan and requested equal treatment for all, but agreed that no one should evade committee inquiries. If the House approves, it will be up to the Justice Department to decide on charges.
