Explosion damages tanker in Russian port, marking 6th mysterious blast this year

An explosion occurred on the Eco Wizard tanker at Russia's Ust-Luga port on July 6, causing a minor ammonia leak. The Russian Transportation Ministry reported it was linked to an "incident" during loading and unloading operations. This event marks the sixth explosion involving Russian tankers this year. The tanker’s crew was evacuated, and port emergency services are addressing the situation.

No casualties have been reported, and the vessel is allegedly connected to Russia's "shadow fleet," aimed at circumventing sanctions. The Eco Wizard had arrived from Antwerp just days before the explosion.
