Catherine O'Hara Dead at 71

SUMMARY

Catherine O'Hara, celebrated for her roles in "Schitt's Creek," "Home Alone," and "Best In Show," has died at 71.

The cause of death is not yet known.

O'Hara gained fame for playing Macaulay Culkin's mother in "Home Alone" and Moira Rose in "Schitt's Creek."

She won an Emmy for her performance in "Schitt's Creek" in 2020 and had earlier received another Emmy in 1982 for writing on "SCTV Network 90."

O'Hara's latest work was in the Apple TV+ series "The Studio," alongside Seth Rogen.

Born in Toronto, she met her husband, Bo Welch, on the set of "Beetlejuice" and they had two sons.
