FTX insider Caroline Ellison has been quietly moved out of prison

SUMMARY

Caroline Ellison, the former CEO of Alameda Research, has been moved out of federal prison after about 11 months of her two-year sentence related to a fraud scheme involving FTX.

On October 16, she was transferred to community confinement, meaning she is either in home confinement or a halfway house.

Her projected release date is now February 20, 2026, nearly nine months earlier than planned.

Ellison pleaded guilty to conspiracy charges linked to the multibillion-dollar fraud that led to the collapse of FTX and testified against Sam Bankman-Fried during his trial.

She expressed sorrow for her actions, stating, "On some level, my brain doesn't even comprehend all the people I harmed."
