Zelensky considers legalizing porn production in Ukraine

President Volodymyr Zelensky addressed a petition to decriminalize pornography in Ukraine, stating that only the parliament can amend the law and that the Verkhovna Rada is already considering Bill 12191, which seeks to decriminalize certain aspects of pornography while keeping child pornography illegal. Pornography was banned in Ukraine in 2009, with legislation signed by the President Viktor Yushchenko. Currently, pornography and sharing nude images are illegal, with potential prison sentences.

The petition, initiated by OnlyFans model Svitlana Dvornikova, gathered over 25,000 signatures. Zelensky acknowledged the petitioners, saying their proposals would be taken into account during legislative discussions. The bill aims to balance legalization while addressing moral concerns.
