Trump won't say whether he would use force to seize Greenland
President Trump has been pushing to acquire Greenland and recently suggested imposing tariffs on Denmark and other European nations until a deal is reached. When asked if he would use force, he responded, “No comment.”
Trump linked Greenland acquisition to his disappointment over not receiving the 2025 Nobel Peace Prize, expressing frustration in a text to Norway's Prime Minister. He stated, “Considering your Country decided not to give me the Nobel Peace Prize... I no longer feel an obligation to think purely of Peace."
Norway's Prime Minister Støre reiterated that “Greenland is a part of the Kingdom of Denmark,” while experts warned that bullying Norway won't impact the prize decision. Trump maintains he has achieved significant peace efforts, stating, "I don’t care about the Nobel Prize."
